Executive Summary

This report provides a detailed comparison of 14 facility optimization software applications to help corporate buyers save time, reduce costs and mitigate risks when selecting products and suppliers. Based on the proprietary Verdantix Green Quadrant methodology, the analysis combines benchmark data from 11 live product demonstrations, responses to a 135-point questionnaire and interviews with an independent panel of 14 customers across seven industries who have bought, or are planning to buy, facility optimization software. Three software vendors are included based on publicly available information. The study finds that customers are slowly implementing facility optimization solutions as a way to better manage facility OPEX costs, but that IT/OT silos continue to plague implementations. When selecting an application, buyers should focus on the value delivered by the software and the supporting services provided.
