Executive Summary

In July 2020, international construction and development firm Lendlease launched a new portfolio of digital solutions, named Podium, to help it manage data across a building’s life cycle. Lendlease will use these software tools to drive efficiencies across the property supply chain, initially focused on its own development pipeline. This announcement confirms the evolution of software and services to cover the full building life cycle is gathering pace, and that diverse types of vendors are launching building digital twin products. Software vendors focused on the design and construction phase of buildings should closely monitor the success of the Podium strategy to inform their partnership or acquisition strategies.
