Executive Summary

The National Safety Council (NSC) estimates that, in the US alone, there are more than four million roadway injuries that require medical attention each year. Emerging EHS technologies are providing firms with the ability to identify, prevent and mitigate risks associated with vehicle accidents and roadway safety. Example fleet telematics and driver safety technologies include proximity sensors, location-tracking devices, smart glasses, and asset and maintenance record-keeping software. These technologies are utilized by a diverse range of executives, including fleet, facilities, operations and EHS managers.
