The 2020 coronavirus pandemic has ground the world to a halt. The pandemic has caused borders to close across Asia, Europe and North America. At the same time, global lockdowns are in place over a quarter of the world population. However businesses are slowly but steadily starting to reopen. Firms in industries such as construction and manufacturing rely on a large number of contractors to operate. This report provides heads of operations, EHS and facilities management with a view into how different contractor safety management solutions such as visitor management systems, prequalification checks, permit to work software and video analytics can be used to ensure the safety of temporary workers and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on a firm’s operation.
