Executive Summary

Following the COVID-19 outbreak, occupant health and wellbeing has rapidly become a new focal point in building management strategies. This report provides corporate heads of real estate, facilities management, and workplace experience with an overview of best practices for occupant health and wellbeing following the COVID-19 pandemic. To capture emerging best practices Verdantix undertook interviews with corporate executives and workplace technology firms. Verdantix analysis finds that successful occupant wellbeing programmes in the COVID-19 era require firms to consider the door-to-door wellbeing of staff and reconfigure workplaces for social distancing. Facility managers should also explore investments in easy-to-install mobile apps to facilitate health and wellbeing questionnaires and a more contactless building experience.
