Executive Summary
This report helps operations leaders to benchmark their technology adoption priorities for 2019 and also provides insight for technology vendors on variations in demand for their offerings across different industries. The survey was conducted via telephone interviews in May and June 2018 with 221 respondents. The survey found that, across all industry, IT integration and operational risk software were considered significant for Operational Risk Management (ORM) initiatives by 2020: 67% of respondents across all industries considered IT integration to be ‘very significant’ or ‘significant’ compared to operational risk software that had a combined percentage of 63%. The survey data showed that emerging technologies such as mobile apps, predictive analytics and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) were rated as having the lowest levels of significance but showed signs of potential growth for the future.
