Executive Summary

This report provides an industry-level breakdown of the significance of software applications for 284 managers responsible for operational excellence. Across all industries, 97% of decision-makers consider APM software to be significant for their operational excellence initiatives, followed by 94% for ORM software. EHS software is one of the top three software applications for firms in oil and gas, infrastructure and transport and mining and utilities to achieve operational excellence and manufacturing is the only industry within this study where EHS software did not rank in the top three. Reflecting these priorities, vendor product strategies focus on delivering an integrated platform for safety, risk and asset integrity management to customers.
