Executive Summary

This report helps real estate asset managers to benchmark their technology deployments and budgets against their peers. The report is an outtake of a survey that Verdantix conducted with 101 real estate asset managers across four geographic regions (see Verdantix Global Real Estate Asset Manager Survey 2019: Priorities And Tech Preferences). Respondents see analytics platforms driven by machine learning and blockchain-based smart contracts as influential technology trends that will soon impact their investment practices. The results also reveal that asset managers look to deploy technology to provide process transparency and centralize accounting as well as financial data. To achieve these aims, 39% of respondents have expanded their budgets in 2019, with even greater budget spend planning afoot for 2020.
