Executive Summary

This report helps heads of strategy, marketing and product at providers of integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) determine demand for their products and investment levels by industry. The Verdantix Global Corporate Survey 2021 interviewed 285 senior real estate and facilities management decision-makers at organizations occupying mid to large real estate portfolios. Our analysis finds that penetration of IWMS is growing across the market, with over half of respondents using this type of software at more than one site. For many firms, an IWMS is part of a complex real estate IT landscape, used alongside other software such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and employee engagement apps. Industry-level analysis shows that spending on IWMS is diversifying out of office-centric sectors, with firms from the engineering, food and beverage and retail sectors planning investment increases.
