Executive Summary

This report helps EHS professionals in large organizations understand how their peers are leveraging technology. Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), a multinational pharmaceutical firm headquartered in Kenilworth, New Jersey, has set out to make safety a top priority. MSD identified key areas of underperformance in its safety training program, so it implemented a microlearning platform from Axonify - an EHS learning solutions provider for frontline workers - to engage its staff more meaningfully. This has contributed to a reduction of its recordable incident rates (RIR) and lost time injury frequency rates (LTIFR) across the sites by 48% and 50% respectively in comparison to 2014 rates across its 52 global manufacturing sites and 69,000 workers.
