Executive Summary

This report is intended for EHS executives and forms one in a series covering vendors in the EHS software and technology markets. In June 2019, Industrial Scientific acquired Intelex into the Fortive group of businesses from JMI Equity and HarbourVest with a valuation of approximately US$570 million. The acquisition reflects Intelex’s growing strategy to shift from a system of recorded historical events to a connected workflow-based platform for real-time EHS risk management. Verdantix evaluation of the Intelex product strategy finds that it can provide value by centralizing asset, equipment and workforce information for real-time EHS analytics, apply algorithm-driven tools to perform risk analysis, and support employee engagement and safety culture through a technology-enhanced approach.
