Executive Summary

In the last five years, geopolitical risks have become an increasingly pressing issue as multilateralism has shrunk, regional conflicts have spilled over and the post-Cold-War period of relative stability has thawed. Geopolitical intelligence is therefore evolving as demand grows. As a tool, it refers to real-time, contextualized information channels; it often covers movement of people, goods and organizations, but also records domestic political developments, regulatory changes, elections, economic changes and social unrest. As these geopolitical threats become more numerous, nuanced and interconnected, firms must have a good overview of the market if they are to select a vendor that can best cater to their operational needs.
