Executive Summary

This report helps strategy leaders, chief marketing officers and business development directors at product compliance and EHS regulatory content providers understand the strength of their brand awareness and brand preference in the eyes of 132 survey respondents in a product stewardship role across 37 countries. The brand assessment study was conducted between June and July 2019 via telephone interviews of senior product stewardship decision-makers with direct responsibility for firm-wide product compliance and sustainability strategies and initiatives. Of the 132 respondents, all belong to firms with revenues of at least $100 million and up to over $20 billion, covering 24 industries that were segmented by Verdantix into four separate categories based on their likelihood of prioritizing product stewardship as very high, high, medium or low.  In aggregate, 70% of the interviewed professionals were from industries prioritizing product stewardship as either very high (37%) or high (33%), These including segments such as chemicals, paints & coatings, and oil & gas.
