Executive Summary
In November 2020, Autodesk, an architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) software provider, announced the future availability of Autodesk Tandem, a digital twin platform that centralizes data from building design to operations. Expanding on a building information modelling (BIM) foundation, professional teams can use Autodesk Tandem to create a digital twin of a new development in a format optimized for use by future owners and operators. The aim is to improve the sharing of data from the construct to operate phase, providing building managers with accessible and insightful data, which improves operations. This report provides real estate, construction and facilities executives with an analysis of Autodesk Tandem and the most value-adding use cases. It is part of a series that supports the digitization journeys of real estate and facilities executives.
