EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This report provides insight into energy management budgets for 2017 across 16 regions and countries. The country-level spending data are based on interviews with 250 senior energy and facilities professionals working in all significant industry sectors (see Verdantix Global Energy Leaders Survey 2016: Budgets And Priorities). Overall the majority of firms expect that budgets will be stable or grow positively in 2017. But the break out of energy management 2017 budget change data shows significant variations between countries, with respondents in Mexico, China and the Middle East most expectant of growing budgets. In the DACH and the Nordic regions, firms are most expectant of stable budgets. The direction of energy management budgets in 2017 is positive overall, with few respondents expecting budget cuts next year.
