Executive Summary

Verdantix research shows a clear convergence of interests between corporate EH&S and sustainability teams. Health and safety issues feature as a priority for improvement for sustainability officers in all but the lowest impact sectors. The chemicals sector is starting to show organizational convergence too, with the presence of senior role titles combining the two terms. Verdantix sees materiality analysis as the critical factor in determining the optimal level of convergence between EH&S and sustainability.
