EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This report provides Chief Information Officers, Grid Directors and VPs of Customer Services at power utilities with an independent analysis of C3 Energy’s suite of analytics applications. Now a six-year-old company, C3 Energy is building up a track record with power utilities, and in 2014 it expanded its client list to include large utilities in the US, Canada and Europe. To find out more about C3 Energy’s platform, technology and applications, Verdantix spoke with Ed Abbo, President and Chief Technology Officer. Verdantix finds that C3 Energy has developed one of the broadest suites of analytics applications for the power utility sector. In particular, it is gaining momentum across utility customer engagement and smart meter data analytics, reflecting the fact many utilities are taking a piecemeal approach to technology deployments. Our analysis finds that C3 Energy’s proposition will be a good match for utilities needing to integrate multiple data sources and utilities that have ambitions to roll out enterprise-wide analytics.
