Executive Summary

To date, sustainability software providers have seen varying levels of success in their rapidly evolving market. This report helps strategy leaders, Chief Marketing Officers and business development directors at software firms measure how heads of sustainability perceive their brand and benchmark levels of awareness and engagement. Verdantix interviewed 260 senior sustainability decision-makers at firms with annual revenues from $250 million to over $20 billion, representing 21 industries and 13 territories. Verdantix asked survey participants about current and future engagements with, and their perception of, 23 sustainability management software providers. Verdantix finds that established global IT firms currently dominate brand awareness for sustainability software, with relatively little correlation to actual capabilities.
