Executive Summary

This report helps officers responsible for strategy, partnerships and marketing at non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and non-profits measure how sustainability leaders perceive their brand and help them benchmark levels of awareness and engagement. Verdantix interviewed 260 senior sustainability decision-makers at firms with annual revenues from $250 million to over $20 billion, representing 21 industries and 13 geographies. Verdantix asked survey participants about current and future engagements with, and their perception of, 16 sustainability NGOs and non-profits. Verdantix finds that sustainability reporting organizations’ such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and CDP lead engagements among firms.
