EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In September 2014 ERM, the privately held environmental consultancy, announced its acquisition of Natural Resource Group (NRG), the US-based oil, gas and power industry environmental consulting, permitting, public affairs and data management provider. The acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, will see ERM integrate NRG’s solutions into its existing service offerings. This report helps Boards of Directors of environmental and sustainability consultancies to understand the significance of the merger. Verdantix analysis finds that this deal will broaden ERM’s consulting resources and will allow the firm to pursue both immediate and long-term growth opportunities.
